THE HOBEY BAKER COMMITTEE

The Hobey Baker Award is planned and implemented by volunteers who are passionate about hockey and committed to the Hobey Baker ideal. Collectively this group is known as The Committee. Each year one of its members is designated to be the Chairman, becoming responsible for ensuring that the Hobey Baker Foundation’s programs are the best they can be. Born and raised in Fighting Sioux territory and residing in the State of Hockey for the past 11 years, Corey has lived and breathed the game since birth playing hockey from age 3 through varsity high school in Jamestown, ND to men’s league in the west metro still today.  Corey coaches youth hockey in the Chaska Chanhassen Hockey Association and has attended every Minnesota State HS Hockey Tournament (with the exception of COVID year in 2021) since moving to Minnesota in 2012 and loves going for the annual tradition with family.

Corey has been on the Hobey Baker committee since 2018 and combined his passion for high school hockey and involvement in the Hobey Baker committee by co-chairing the High School Character Award for the past five years.

Corey works as an Operations Analyst at Parametric in Minneapolis and resides in Victoria, MN with his wife Jessica and three (soon to be four) kids, Carsten (9), Elin (7), Katja (5) and dog Ovi (3).
